As part of the 4th AlBaraka Summit in London, H.E. Mr. Faraz Khan MBE, Chief Executive Officer & Partner, Spectreco US –
Founder & Director Seed Ventures, will present a workshop a workshop titled “Islamic Screening and ESG Metrics: Building the Next Generation of Investment Indexes” will be held to explore the convergence between Islamic finance principles and global ESG standards, and their role in driving ethical and sustainable investment practices across international markets.
The workshop provides a platform for dialogue and innovation, showcasing practical approaches and emerging models for Sharia-compliant, ESG-aligned indexes that promote transparency, social responsibility, and sustainable growth. It will also highlight opportunities for collaboration between academia, industry, and policymakers to shape the future of responsible investing.

Under the auspices of the Saleh Kamel Islamic Economics Award, the 4th AlBaraka Summit in London hosts a special session titled “From Research to Impact.” This distinguished session highlights the vital role of academic research in shaping the future of Islamic economics and finance.
12 researchers from 6 universities will present their work on Islamic economics and finance as part of the AlBaraka Forum and the Award’s mission to nurture the next generation of researchers and transform academic insights into real-world impact, reflecting the Summit’s commitment to fostering dialogue between scholars, practitioners, and policymakers.

Dr. Eman Shady, PhD, Executive Secretary at the Strategic Thinking Center for Islamic Economy, will present the workshop titled: “The Economic Landscape of Muslims: Realities and Transformations”.
To analyze the economic landscape of Muslims in terms of human and natural resources, and to develop the strategic thinking of leaders and decision-makers, enabling them to take informed steps and develop effective policies and strategies that respond to global economic transformations and address the opportunities and challenges facing Muslim societies, thus contributing to strengthening the role of the Islamic economy in the future.
To analyze the economic landscape of Muslims in terms of human and natural resources, and to develop the strategic thinking of leaders and decision-makers, enabling them to take informed steps and develop effective policies and strategies that respond to global economic transformations and address the opportunities and challenges facing Muslim societies, thus contributing to strengthening the role of the Islamic economy in the future.
